On 2–3 October 2025, the GLITTER Project consortium gathered in Nicosia, Cyprus, for its Plenary Meeting, hosted by CARDET. The event brought together partners from across Europe to reflect on the progress achieved so far, exchange expertise, and plan the next steps in strengthening learners’ digital well-being through effective teaching practices and digital environments.
The first day of the meeting focused on deepening the project’s technical and pedagogical foundations. Partners engaged with the External Advisory Board, whose input provided valuable perspectives for refining GLITTER’s work. Presentations on national mappings of best practices in digital well-being allowed for a comparative analysis across participating countries, offering a rich foundation for building the project’s outputs. A significant part of the discussion centered on the design of a whole-school approach to digital well-being, a framework that aims to provide schools and educators with concrete strategies to create safe and supportive digital environments. Later in the day, attention turned to the design and development of practical instruments that will serve as tools for teachers and learners. The day concluded not only with a wrap-up session but also with cultural and social activities, including a walking tour of old Nicosia and a consortium dinner, which fostered stronger bonds among partners.
The second day was dedicated to project management, implementation, and sustainability. Consortium members reviewed upcoming deliverables and coordination mechanisms, while also addressing financial planning and internal reporting requirements. The discussions then moved toward the pilot implementations, which will soon test and evaluate the project’s tools and approaches in real educational contexts. Another important part of the agenda was devoted to communication, dissemination, and sustainability, ensuring that GLITTER’s results will reach a wide audience and have a lasting impact. The meeting closed with a focus on quality assurance, highlighting the commitment of all partners to maintaining excellence across every stage of the project.
Overall, the plenary meeting in Nicosia was an important milestone for the consortium. It provided the space to align strategies, strengthen collaboration, and renew the collective commitment to the project’s mission: empowering schools, educators, and learners to cultivate digital well-being in an increasingly connected world. The consortium looks forward to continuing this journey, with pilot activities and new resources set to unfold in the months ahead.
